Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about MyItihas, our stories, and platform features.
MyItihas is a digital platform to explore Bharatiya epics through AI-generated stories, scripture reading (like Bhagavad Gita and Ramayana), games, maps, and guided chats. You can use the Story Generator, ChatItihas (Little Krishna), the Akhanda Bharata Map, Katha (Social), and Games (The Divine Arena). If you sign in, you also get a My Account dashboard with profile, settings, notifications, security, and upgrade plans.
Visit the About page to read our mission and vision, and to meet the team behind MyItihas.
Home is your starting point: jump to Generate (Story Generator), ChatItihas, the Akhanda Bharata Map, Community Stories (Katha), Games (The Divine Arena), and featured scripture/epic sections. If you're signed in, you can also open My Account to edit your profile, manage settings, and view/upgrade your plan.
Open Generate → choose options (story type, theme, main character, setting, scripture, length, language) or use the quick scripture selector, then click Generate Story (or Random Story). You can add keywords, use voice input, and manage Chat History. To save a generated story to your Story History, log in and “like” the story.
ChatItihas lets you talk with Little Krishna in Friend Mode (casual, supportive) or Philosophical Mode (deeper scripture-grounded guidance). Sign in to save, search, delete, and export chats. The Upgrade Plan section in My Account also lists plan-based access (for example, philosophical mode limits and voice input).
The Map is a “Sacred Atlas” to explore places across Akhanda Bharata (for example, Shaktipeethas). Use the Sacred Sites list + search, zoom controls, and click locations to learn context. You can also “Share your local narrative” (add location, deity, and a short legend—optionally use your location) and continue to generate a story in the Story Generator.
Katha is the community story space where you can discover stories shared by others, search by title/author, sort (Newest/Oldest/Most Liked), view story details (including images when available), and like/share stories. The “Create” button takes you to the Story Generator to write your own.
Scripture pages help you read and explore classic texts with structured sections (chapters/kandas/verses), key context, and character overviews.
Yes—many scripture/epic pages include an embedded chat with Little Krishna so you can ask about verses, themes (dharma, karma, bhakti), and characters as you read.
MyItihas works on all modern browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and is designed for both desktop and mobile devices. For the best experience, use the latest version of your preferred browser.
Games is a set of interactive mini-games inspired by epics (for example, Dharma choices, kingdom building, archery, and playful challenges). Pick a game card to start, earn XP, and level up.

Open My Account → Upgrade Plan to see the current plans: Free (₹0/month), Plus (offer shown as ₹9/3 months), and Pro (offer shown as ₹49/3 months). The plan cards list what’s included (for example, daily story limits, philosophical mode access, map chat, saving stories to your library, exports, and voice input). Some users may see an “Early Bird” free Pro upgrade message.
Use the sign-in/sign-up dialog on supported pages. You can log in with email & password or continue with Google; new sign-ups may require email verification.
Open My Account to manage everything in one place: edit profile (name, phone, age, sex, city, bio), change avatar/username, Customize (nickname/occupation), Settings (theme toggle, high-contrast, font size, privacy policy, download my data), Notifications (email/push/digest), and Password & Security (update password, deactivate account).
When you are signed in, MyItihas stores your history in Supabase. The Story Generator saves liked stories to the generated_stories table and its chat history to story_chat_conversations. ChatItihas conversations are stored in chat_conversations. Community stories in Katha come from community_stories. If you are logged out, your history may not be saved.
In My Account → Settings, “Download My Data” downloads a JSON file (ithihas_data.json) containing your current signed-in user profile object. It does not currently include your saved stories or chat history.
Not yet. The “Deactivate Account” button currently shows a demo message and does not remove your account. If you need help with account removal or data requests, please contact support via the Contact page or email us at ithihas.ai.in@gmail.com.
